Verity Math and Science Academy Classes

This year we are offering science classes that are designed to be interesting along with being informative.  The classes that are offered are for both advanced students and those students that are not advanced.

For registration information or for more information contact Verity Math and Science Academy.

Earth Science

This is a one of kind Earth Science course teaching Earth Science from a six day creation world view.  It combines current creation theory from scientists such as Dr. Russel Humphrey’s: Astronomy, Dr. Walt Brown: Geology, and Dr. Danny Faulkner and others for reinforcement in these and other areas.  Current six day creation theories explain the observations we see in nature in a much more comprehensive way then current old age theories.

Chemistry I

This class is for students that have a firm understanding of algebra. This would be considered more of a honors chemistry class because of the pace in which it moves through the material. This is a first year chemistry course

Chemistry II

This course is for students who have already taken chemistry I and have a solid understanding of the concepts in chemistry I.  This course will build on concepts from the first year chemistry course, but at a much deeper level than Chemistry I. This course is similar to an AP Chemistry course.   If your student is planning to take college placement test, this class is very beneficial.

Astronomy

This course goes over current theories using a biblical view of the the creation of the universe.  And compares and contrast the biblical view and the naturalistic views.
Integrated Chemistry/Physics

  • This course is for students who have struggled in math.  It will prepare students for first year chemistry and physics.  Integrated Chemistry/Physics is considered by the state as a high school lab course.  All the local high schools around the country have similar courses in their curriculum.  This class along with Earth Science and first year chemistry and physics gives your student 4 lab science credits which are needed for a honors diploma in an Indiana High school.

Physics I

This course is for students that have a firm understanding of algebra and trigonometry and 1 year of Chemistry preferred. This courses uses the language of mathematics to explain the physical universe in which we live.  Students learn the laws that God set in place when he created the world.

Physics II

This is an algerbra based advanced physics course.  This is for students have have completed Physics I, Algerbra II and trigonometry.  This course is similar to an AP Chemistry course.   If your student is planning to take college placement test, this class is very beneficial.

Geology

This course will cover current flood catastraphy theories.  This course will also compare and contrast Biblical and naturalistic views of geology.
